To My Vampire

A Poem

Is there a reason

I yearn for the pain?

Does the idea of feeding you

Make more sense to my brain?

Everyday, I hope I never wake up

But I’d never take that step

To end my life

Unless it’s into your web

My life could mean something

If my blood was your sustenance

The pain wouldn’t matter in the end

As I pay my penance

Death would come for me

As I lay in your arms

The question still remains

Who would it harm?

I know I’d be missed

That’s why I never act

But if you’d do it for me

At least I wouldn’t feel so trapped
